This 1973 Triumph TR6 is a red-over-black convertible that is said to have been acquired by the seller in 1996. A 2.5-liter inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a J-Type overdrive. Equipment includes a black convertible top, 15″ steel wheels with stainless trim rings, a chrome luggage rack, an AM/FM stereo, and a heater. Service in preparation for the sale consisted of replacing the clutch hydraulic cylinders, the rear wheel cylinders, and the battery. This TR6 is now offered with a top boot, a tonneau cover, recent service records, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.
The car was factory-finished in Emerald Green (65) and was repainted red. A black convertible top is fitted along with a chrome luggage rack, door edge guards, Union Jack decals, a flexible antenna mast, and black-finished dual side mirrors. A black top boot and tonneau cover are included in the sale. Chips and blemishes are visible around the bodywork, the rear decals are peeling, and the convertible top has tears on the passenger side.
Silver-painted 15″ steel wheels feature stainless trim rings and are mounted with Summit tires measuring P205/70. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The rear wheel cylinders were replaced in July 2024 and the brake system was bled. Damage is visible on the wheel trim rings.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl, and interior appointments include an AM/FM stereo, a locking glovebox, a wood shift knob, a center armrest, and a heater.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 73k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.5-liter inline-six features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 106 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. A new battery was fitted in preparation for the sale and the oil was changed.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a J-Type overdrive. The clutch hydraulic hose and cylinders were replaced in July 2024.
