This 2002 Lexus SC430 is finished in Twilight Amethyst Pearl over Ecru leather and is powered by a 4.3-liter V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. It spent time in Florida before the seller’s 2013 purchase, and they have since added approximately 15k of the 37k indicated miles. Equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop, chrome 18″ TRD wheels, a rear spoiler, HID headlights, heated power-adjustable front seats, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a Mark Levinson sound system. This SC430 is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The SC430 replaced the SC300/400 sport coupes and was only available as a convertible with a body-color power-retractable hardtop. This example is finished in Twilight Amethyst Pearl (3P6) and features HID headlights, fog lights, a rear decklid spoiler, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets.
Optional chrome 18″ TRD wheels are mounted with a mix of 245/40 Michelin tires, the rears of which are said to require replacement. The car is equipped with traction control and four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated front rotors.
The cabin seating surfaces are upholstered in Ecru leather, while light wood trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats, front-seat position memory, twin rear seats, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a nine-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo with an in-dash six-disc CD changer.
The wood- and leather-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 37k miles, approximately 15k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.3-liter 3UZ-FE V8 features dual overhead camshafts as well as VVT-i variable valve timing. Factory-rated output was 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
