This 1969 Dodge Dart GT convertible was acquired by the seller’s father following a February 2019 BaT Auction. Powered by a 273ci V8 paired with a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, the car is finished in red with a white convertible top over white upholstery. Additional equipment includes a two-barrel carburetor, Rallye wheels, power steering, drum brakes, a center console, and aftermarket air conditioning. Work performed under current ownership involved repairing the steering, installing an aluminum radiator, and replacing the carburetor, distributor, timing chain, belts, water pump, brakes, and tires. This Dart GT is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of his father with service records from current ownership and a clean Florida title.

Finished from the factory in Gold Metallic (Y4), the car is said to have been repainted red in the late 2010s following replacement of quarter-panel sheetmetal. The grille, side trim, and tail panel are accented in black, and Dart GT badges adorn the quarter panels. Dual chrome tailpipes exit from below the rear bumper. The antenna is missing. The white convertible top has been patched, and its power operation requires manual assistance to raise and lower. The brightwork exhibits pitting, and damage is evident around the keyhole in the rear trim panel. Rust is visible around the rear wheel wells, and bubbling and other paint imperfections are noted on the rocker panels, adjacent to the trunk lid, and on the driver-side fender, as pictured in the gallery below.

Rallye 14″ wheels are mounted with Cornell tires that were installed in 2023, at which time the power-assisted steering system was repaired. Braking is provided by unassisted drums at all four corners, and the drums and shoes were replaced in early 2024. The shocks also have been replaced under current ownership.

The interior is upholstered in white vinyl accented with black carpeting and plastics. Amenities include a padded dashboard, a center console, and a heater. A Cool Aire air-conditioning system is positioned below the dash. The JVC cassette stereo fitted in the factory location does not work, and holes for speakers are visible in the footwells and the passenger-side rear trim panel. The upholstery is worn and discolored.

The three-spoke steering wheel has a partial horn ring and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and supplementary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership. The fuel gauge does not work.

The 273ci V8 features a two-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 190 horsepower. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. The carburetor, distributor, and battery were replaced under current ownership, and an aluminum radiator was installed. The water pump, timing chain, and belts were replaced in April 2024, and the coolant and the oil were changed.

Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery.

The Florida title is noted to be a duplicate.
