This 1965 Triumph TR4A was reportedly refurbished under previous ownership and was acquired out of Missouri by the seller in late 2021 before being listed on BaT in October 2022. The car is finished in white over red leather and powered by a 2.1-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black soft top, 15″ wire wheels, front disc brakes, independent rear suspension, dual Stromberg carburetors, an aluminum radiator, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a wood dashboard, and a chrome luggage rack. This TR4A IRS is now offered with a white tonneau cover, a workshop manual, a jack, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.

The TR4A was built from 1965 to 1967 and featured a revised grille and a widened chassis compared with earlier TR4 models. Finished from the factory in Black (11), this car was repainted in white under previous ownership. Equipment includes a replacement black fabric soft top as well as a driver-side bullet-style mirror, a chrome luggage rack, a flip-up fuel-filler cap, bright trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A white tonneau cover is included in the sale. The seller notes that there is a rust stain on the left-front fender near the chrome trim. Many of the photos in the gallery below were taken in 2022.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Kumho Solus KR21 tires, and a matching spare is housed in the trunk. The car is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension, and braking is provided by front discs and rear drum.

The cabin was refurbished during prior ownership and features bucket seats with red leather upholstery and white piping. Interior details include a wood dash panel, a Triumph-logo wooden shift knob, lap belts, a heater, a passenger grab handle, door-panel storage pockets, and a rear parcel shelf. The horn does not work, and the carpeting in the passenger-side footwell is worn.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are located at center dash alongside an Autogage voltmeter. The five-digit odometer shows 83k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.

The 2,138cc inline-four is equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors, a chrome-finished valve cover, and an aluminum radiator. The wiring was reportedly replaced under prior ownership. The oil-pan gasket was replaced in June 2024 along with the engine oil and the oil-filter cartridge.

Power is directed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically actuated Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit. A loose muffler contacted insulation beneath the trunk in September 2022, leading to discoloration of the trunk floor; the trunk interior was subsequently repainted, and the muffler bracing was reinforced.
