This 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL delivered new in Europe and was imported into the US before making its way to Canada in the mid 1980s. It is finished in Silver Gray Metallic (180) over blue MB-Tex and is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a blue convertible top, a removable hardtop, power steering, 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, and a heater. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2024 and has since added approximately 100 miles. This W113 SL is now offered at no reserve with British Columbia registration.

The W113 SL was designed by Friedrich Geiger, Béla Barényi, and Paul Bracq and was introduced to the public at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show. This example is finished in Silver Gray Metallic (180) and features a blue soft top, a removable hardtop, and European-specification headlights.

The 14″ Bundt alloy wheels are mounted with 195/70 Toyo tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs.

The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in blue MB-Tex that extends to the door panels. Interior appointments include an analog clock, a floor-mounted gear shifter, and a heater.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 67k kilometers (~42k miles), approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.8-liter M130 inline-six was factory equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was rated at 195 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque when new.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The car is being sold with it’s registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia.
