This 1962 MG MGA Mk II roadster was acquired by the seller in 2010 following refurbishment work carried out under previous ownership. Finished in white over red vinyl, the car is powered by a 1,622cc inline-four linked with a four-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with a black soft top, removable sliding windows, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, and a rear luggage rack with a wicker basket. Service performed within the last five years is said to have included overhauling the dual SU carburetors and replacing the radiator, water pump, and rear wheel bearings as well as changing the brake master cylinder, front brake pads, rear brake shoes, and shock absorbers. This MGA roadster is offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, car show trophies, a car cover, a red tonneau cover and top boot, and Maine registration in the seller’s name.

The body was repainted white in approximately 2000. Equipment includes a black soft top, a left-side mirror, removable sliding windows, and a rear luggage rack with a wicker basket. The seller notes wear on the soft top, and photos showing cracked paint and other blemishes can be viewed in the gallery below. The photos and videos were taken in September 2023.

Bright 15″ knock-off wire wheels were mounted with 165-series Michelin XZX tires in 2020. Additional work at that time is said to have included changing the shock absorbers and rear wheel bearings as well as replacing the brake master cylinder, front pads, and rear shoes.

The bucket seats are trimmed in red vinyl and complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, center armrest, and door panels. Black carpeting lines the floors, and a fire extinguisher is mounted beneath the dash along with an inoperative Kenwood stereo and aftermarket speakers.

The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and supplementary gauges. The seller notes that the fuel level gauge is inaccurate. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 1,622cc inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. The radiator, water pump, and coolant hoses were replaced in October 2018, while the dual SU carburetors were reportedly rebuilt in July 2020.

Photos showing corrosion and fluid seepage on various underbody components can be viewed in the gallery below.

Manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, car show trophies, wing windows, tinted visors, and a car cover will accompany the car along with a red top boot and tonneau cover.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its Maine registration.
