This 1956 Ford Thunderbird was acquired by the seller in 1999, and it was subsequently modified and refurbished. The seller reports that a 302ci V8 was sourced from a 1969 Boss Mustang, and it is linked to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a 9″ Ford rear end with a 4.11:1 limited-slip differential. The body was refinished in House of Kolor shade Kandy Apple Red, the interior was refreshed by Mark Maliepaard at Sid Chavers Company with tan upholstery in 2023, and 17″ Boyd Coddington wheels were installed along with four-wheel disc brakes, Sanderson headers, and a dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers. This Thunderbird is now offered at no reserve with a car cover and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory in Raven Black (A), and it was repainted red under current ownership. Following their purchase, the seller stripped the body, performed bodywork, and repainted the car in House of Kolor Kandy Apple Red with custom “Boss Bird” fender accents. There is a scratch above the left-rear wheel.
Boyd Coddington 17″ wheels have been installed along with four-wheel disc brakes.
The bench seat was reupholstered in tan leather with perforated accents by Mark Maliepaard at Sid Chavers Company in 2023 and is accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. A custom center console was upholstered to match and houses the floor shifter and a pair of auxiliary gauges.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits atop a tilting column and frames an Astra Dial instrument cluster housing a sweeping 150-mph speedometer, a 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer indicates 4,800 miles, all of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end with a 4.11:1 limited-slip differential.
