This Porsche 356 Speedster replica is powered by an air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and equipped with CB Performance cylinder heads, Mahle pistons and cylinders, a Kadron-style carburetor kit, and a two-tip exhaust. The fiberglass body is finished in yellow with a tan convertible soft top, boot, and side curtains and features leather hood straps, a rear luggage rack, and body-color bumpers with rub strips, while the interior is trimmed in tan leather and incorporates beige square weave carpeting, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, lap belts, and Coco mats. This 356 Speedster replica was acquired by the seller in July 2022 and is now offered at no reserve with handwritten build notes, a car cover, and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name listing it as a 1967 Volkswagen Porsche.

The fiberglass body is finished in yellow and fitted over a modified Volkswagen Beetle chassis. Exterior details include a tan convertible soft top, boot cover, and side curtains as well as leather hood straps, dual side-view mirrors, teardrop taillights, a single grille decklid, a rear luggage rack, gold-finished Porsche and 1600 Super badging, a reproduction Reutter badge on the left fender, and body-color bumpers with rub strips. There is a crack in the fiberglass bodywork near one of the taillights and a spot of rust on the luggage rack.

Chrome 15″ steel wheels wear matching hubcaps with Porsche crest logos and are mounted with 185/65 BF Goodrich Advantage T/A tires. Stopping is provided by discs up front and drum brakes out back.

The fixed-back bucket seats are trimmed in tan leather upholstery, which extends to the shifter and parking brake boots, dashboard pad, door panels, and rear parcel shelf. Additional interior elements include beige square-weave carpeting, lap belts, Coco mats, a cabin heater, and an adjustable height rearview mirror. The seller states the carpet is worn and should be replaced.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a central tachometer flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for fuel level and oil temperature. The speedometer was replaced under current ownership and currently shows 429 miles on the digital odometer. Total mileage is unknown.

The air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four utilizes an aftermarket aluminum case fitted with CB Performance 044 cylinder heads, an aftermarket camshaft, 94mm Mahle pistons and cylinders, and a Gene Berg high volume oil pump as well as chrome engine tin, a 009-style distributor, an EMPI breather box oil filler, and a Kadron-style EMPI carburetor kit. An oil change was performed and the fuel pump was replaced in February 2022.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle equipped with a Kennedy clutch. An EMPI GT two-tip exhaust with heater boxes has been fitted.

The chassis number 117358592 shown above is consistent with a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle and matches the VIN on the current Tennessee title, which describes the car as a 1967 Volkswagen Porsche.
