This 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL is a European-market example that was restored by Park Place Ltd. from 2015 to 2016. It is a factory five-speed car and is powered by a fuel-injected 2.5L inline-six. Finished in blue over black leather, the ar is equipped with a navy blue convertible top, a removable hardtop, 14″ steel wheels with painted covers, and a stainless steel exhaust system. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2023 and it is now offered in Canada with a binder of service records, manuals, a tool kit, and British Columbia registration.
The W113 SL was designed by Friedrich Geiger, Béla Barényi, and Paul Bracq and was introduced to the public at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show. This example and its Pagoda hardtop were refinished in the factory blue (335). A navy blue soft top was also installed and the seals and bumpers were replaced.
The 14″ steel wheels were sourced and refinished during the restoration as were the brakes and suspension. The tires are 185-series Phoenix whitewalls.
Originally trimmed in gray MB-Tex, the cabin was reupholstered in black leather with charcoal carpets using materials from GAHH. Reproduction wood trim was also sourced.
Instrumentation includes a 220-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 25k kilometers, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The mechanically fuel-injected 2.5-liter M129 inline-six was rebuilt during the restoration.
The car was factory-equipped with a 5-speed ZF manual transmission and a 4.08 final drive. A stainless steel exhaust system is also fitted.
