This 1974 Triumph TR6 was acquired by the seller in 2023 as a stalled project following a reported rebuild of the drivetrain, the installation of a new frame, body repairs, and a repaint in Sapphire blue. Subsequent work included refinishing the 15″ wheels, fitting new redline tires and stainless-steel bumpers, re-trimming the black vinyl interior, and refreshing the electrical, suspension, steering, braking, and clutch systems. The car is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and equipped with a black soft top, dual downdraft Weber carburetors, a polished aluminum valve cover, exhaust headers, a Monza sports exhaust system with quad stainless tips, a luggage rack, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. This TR6 is now offered with receipts, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, removed factory and spare parts, a top boot, and Connecticut registration.

The car was factory finished in Sapphire blue and was reportedly repainted in 2021. Additional features include a replacement black soft top, new stainless-steel bumpers, dual chrome side mirrors, a front spoiler, Union Jack graphics on the rear quarter panels, a luggage rack, and a top boot.

Powder-coated factory 15″ steel wheels wear aluminum trim rings and are fitted with Coker Classic 185-series redline tires with 2023 date codes. A blackwall spare is located in the trunk. The suspension and steering systems were overhauled under current ownership, and the brakes were refurbished with a new master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, lines, and hoses.

The bucket seats were re-upholstered in black vinyl, and replacement carpets, door panels, and trim were installed under current ownership. Amenities include a replacement wood dashboard with locking glovebox, a wood shift knob, a heater, and a Blaupunkt Seattle cassette stereo.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.5-liter inline-six was reportedly overhauled under previous ownership and is fitted with dual downdraft Weber carburetors, a spin-on oil filter adapter, a six-into-one header, and a Monza dual exhaust system. The engine and engine bay were repainted under current ownership and a replacement battery was installed along with new coolant and heater hoses. Engine stamping numbers and photos showing compression readings are presented in the gallery.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a J-Type overdrive, both of which were reportedly overhauled under previous ownership along with the driveshaft and the differential. A replacement frame is fitted.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists a production date of August 2, 1974, and displays the factory equipment, colors, and serial numbers.

Photos taken at various stages of the refurbishment as well as receipts from the current and previous owners are presented in the gallery.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its Connecticut registration, which lists the car as an Antique.
