This Porsche 356 Speedster replica was assembled by Vintage Speedsters of Hawaiian Gardens, California and is powered by a 1,915cc-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The car is built on a modified Volkswagen Beetle chassis and utilizes a fiberglass body finished in yellow. Additional equipment includes a tan soft top and side curtains, a luggage rack, body-color bumper overriders, chrome 15″ steel wheels, and tan leather bucket seats. This 356 replica was acquired by the seller in 2019 and is now offered with a tonneau cover, a build binder, records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name, listing it as a Specially Constructed vehicle with no model year.

The car is finished in yellow and features a tan soft top, boot, and side curtains. Additional exterior details include body-color bumpers with yellow overriders, mesh headlight grilles, driving lights with amber lenses, dual fender-mounted swan-neck side mirrors, teardrop taillights, a reproduction Reutter badge on the right front fender, gold-finished Porsche and 1600 Super badging, and a luggage rack.

Chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 185/60 Pirelli P4 Persist tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.

The low-back bucket seats are trimmed in tan leather that extends to the dash pad, door panels, and rear parcel shelf. Darker squareweave carpets line the floors, and Coco mats protect the footwells.

The leather-wrapped banjo-style steering wheel frames a central 6k-rpm tachometer, a 130-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, around 7k of which were added under current ownership.

The air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four features dual two-barrel carburetors, a breather box, and a fuel pressure regulator. A valve adjustment and oil change were performed in 2023.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle.

The State of California BAR sticker indicates SB-100 status and lists the car as a 1959 Specially Constructed Replica with a 1972 1.6L engine. Chassis number 2214575 is consistent with a Volkswagen Beetle built in November 1958.
