This 1969 Triumph TR6 was acquired by the seller’s father in 2006 and refurbished until its acquisition in 2007 by the seller, who has since driven it 8,700 miles. It is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and is finished in red over black vinyl. Equipment includes a black convertible top, Minilite-style 15″ wheels, and a JVC CD stereo. The soft top was replaced in late 2023. This TR6 is now offered with an owner’s manual, service records dating back to 2006, and a Utah title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Jasmine (34), the car was repainted under prior ownership. Features include a black soft top, a top boot, a driver-side mirror, a quick-release fuel cap, chrome bumpers, a plastic air dam, a black tail panel, and dual exhaust outlets. The convertible top was replaced in late 2023. Chipped paint on the front end of the car is pictured in the gallery below.
Bolt-on Minator 15″ aluminum wheels are mounted with 205/70 Yokohama Avid TRZ tires. A Michelin spare on a steel wheel is found in the trunk. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs with cross-drilled and slotted rotors and red-painted calipers as well as red-painted rear drums. The suspension was overhauled in 2006, and the brakes and steering rack were replaced in 2007.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl, and interior appointments include a JVC CD stereo, Pioneer speakers, an aftermarket wood shift knob, inertia-reel seatbelts, and a heater. The interior was reupholstered in 2007. The hazard lights and the horn do not work.
The aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer, with gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level positioned in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 90k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The speedometer was replaced in 2007.
The 2.5-liter inline-six features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 104 horsepower and 142 lb-ft of torque. The ignition and the radiator were replaced in 2006, and the engine and the carburetors were rebuilt in 2007.
Power is directed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a Laycock A-type overdrive unit. The transmission, differential, and driveshaft were rebuilt in 2007.
The Utah title is listed as a “corrected title”.
