This 1969 Datsun 1600 roadster was disassembled and refinished in silver approximately five years ago, and red vinyl seat covers and color-coordinated carpeting were fitted at that time. Power is from a 1.6-liter R16 inline-four linked to a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes an aluminum radiator, fog lights, bright trim and bumpers, dual side mirrors, a decklid-mounted luggage rack, 15″ VTO Minilite-style wheels, front disc brakes, an upholstered shift knob, an Alpine cassette radio, and bucket seats. This SPL311 roadster is now offered by the selling dealer with literature, a refurbishment invoice, and a New Hampshire title.
The car wears a repaint in silver and features fog lights, a bright windshield surround and trim, 1600 badging, dual side mirrors, a decklid-mounted luggage rack, a single exhaust outlet, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
The 15″ VTO Minilite-style wheels are mounted with Kumho tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes, and the brake master cylinder was replaced approximately five years ago.
The cabin houses bucket seats that have been reupholstered in red vinyl and are accented by color-coordinating carpeting. Interior appointments include lap belts, an upholstered shift knob, a vertically mounted Alpine cassette radio, and a rear cargo shelf. Signs of wear are noted in the cabin.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer, a central 7k-rpm speedometer, and supplementary gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles.
The 1.6-liter R16 inline-four features dual side-draft carburetors and was factory rated at 96 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque. An aluminum radiator has been installed, and the main wiring harness has been replaced.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Signs of corrosion are noted.
The chassis plate lists serial numbers and factory engine specifications.
The New Hampshire title lists “Antique Vehicle” in the Brands/Pertinent Information section.
