This 1974 Triumph TR6 is a green-over-tan example that was cosmetically and mechanically refurbished under previous ownership before being acquired by the seller on BaT in December 2019. It is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is equipped with a tan soft top, a PerTronix ignition system, VTO alloy wheels, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This TR6 is now offered with service records, a top boot, literature, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
Originally finished in Mimosa yellow, the car was repainted green in 2014, and the tan convertible top, headlights, grille, and windshield were also reportedly replaced. Dual side mirrors are fitted along with a plastic air dam and Union Jack decals. The US-market rubber bumper overriders have been removed and the mounting holes were filled.
The 16-inch VTO alloy wheels wear Pirelli P4 tires measuring 215/65 that were mounted in 2018. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes, and a rear tube shock conversion is installed.
The interior features replacement seatbelts, a retro-look radio with Bluetooth, a wood-veneer dashboard, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, tan door panels, and tan carpeting. Biscuit leather Suffolk seats from Victoria British were installed in 2018.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, approximately 700 of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.5-liter inline-six features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors that reportedly were overhauled in 2022 as well as a PerTronix ignition system.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
