This 1966 MG MGB Roadster was acquired by the seller in 2005, and refurbishment and modification work that culminated in 2012 included refinishing the car in red, reupholstering the interior in tan leather with red piping, and installing a 4.0-liter Rover V8, a General Motors-sourced five-speed manual gearbox, a modified General Motors-sourced rear axle with a Positraction differential and rear disc brakes, and more. The car also features 15″ alloy wheels, Wilwood front disc brake calipers, chrome-finished bumpers, a burl wood-trimmed dashboard and door panel caps, a removable white hardtop with a roof vent, and a replacement black cloth top. This MGB is offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The seller states that the body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in MINI Chili Red as part of the refurbishment, which also reportedly included installing replacement chrome-finished components. Features include an aluminum hood, a replacement black cloth top, a red top boot cover, a removable white hardtop with a rally-style roof vent, and a driver-side mirror as well as LED auxiliary lights. Close-up photos of blemishes are presented in the gallery below.

Reproduction 15″ American Racing Silverstone II wheels were mounted with 195/60 Aspen Touring A/S tires in May 2020, while a matching spare wearing a Bridgestone tire is housed in the trunk. Braking is from four-wheel discs, the front of which were fitted with Wilwood four-piston calipers mounted over cross-drilled rotors under current ownership. The front suspension has been fitted with an anti-roll bar and coilovers, while the rear suspension features carbon-fiber leaf springs. The seller notes play in the steering rack.

The seller states that the interior was reupholstered in Jaguar Biscuit leather with red piping, which extends to the pad situated atop the burl wood-trimmed dashboard. Features include crank windows, burl wood door panel caps, a flexible reading light for the passenger, and a center console with climate controls and a pair of cupholder cutouts. The seller notes that the seats are upholstered in a Mark I-style pattern and have been fitted with headrests. The air-conditioning system does not blow cold.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a Smiths 120-mph speedometer, a matching tachometer, a fuel level gauge, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer was reset as part of the refurbishment and now shows 3k miles. True mileage is unknown.

The replacement 4.0-liter Rover V8 was installed circa 2012. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a General Motors-sourced five-speed manual gearbox and a modified General Motors-sourced rear axle with a Positraction limited-slip differential. The seller states that an oil change and a coolant flush were performed within the last 100 miles.

Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below. A build list is included in the sale along with parts and service records.

A reproduction plate stamped with car number GHN3L67125 is affixed in the engine bay. The seller states that no additional identification numbers are visible on the car.
