This Bel Air-style two-door convertible was constructed by Back Bay Customs of Portland, Maine, in 2012 by combining reproduction bodywork with the drivetrain, suspension, and interior components of a 2006 Pontiac GTO. Power is provided by a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in blue and equipped with a dark blue soft top, 18″ US Mags wheels, chrome bumpers, and four-wheel disc brakes. The front and rear bucket seats are trimmed in blue and gray, and additional features include power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows. Acquired by the current owner in 2012, this Bel Air-style convertible is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with Maine registration listing the car as a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.

Reproduction bodywork was reportedly sourced from CARS Inc. and paired with the firewall and cowl from a donor Bel Air before it was refinished in blue. A power-operated dark blue soft top is fitted along with a dark blue top boot, twin wind splits, hooded headlights, dual chrome mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear chrome bumper.

US Mags 18″ wheels are mounted with 235/40 Nexen N’Fera SU1 front and 265/35 Yokohama Avan Sport A/S rear tires. The power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and suspension components were sourced from the GTO.

The cabin features front and rear bucket seats trimmed in gray and blue, and the color scheme extends to the door panels and dashboard. A Blaupunkt head unit is linked to aftermarket speakers, and the car has air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and power-adjustable front seats. The airbags do not work.

The four-spoke steering wheel features and instrument cluster were retained from the GTO, and the steering wheel controls do not work. Instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer, a GTO-branded tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The digital odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 12k of which were added under current ownership.

The 6.0-liter LS2 V8, four-speed TH4L65-E automatic transmission, and limited-slip differential were sourced from the 2006 GTO donor car and installed in 2012.

The Carfax report for the 2006 Pontiac GTO shows damage to the right side of the car in March 2010 and that it was declared a total loss and issued a salvage title in June 2010.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its Maine registration.
