This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 Mk I was refurbished in 2009 according to the selling dealer, who acquired the car in February 2023. It is finished in red with a black soft top over black vinyl upholstery, and power is provided by a 2.9-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a padded center arm rest, low-back bucket seats, fender-mounted mirrors, front disc brakes, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, and dual SU carburetors. This BT7 Mk I is now offered by the selling dealer in Texas with a clean North Carolina title.

The car left the factory in Colorado Red and was refinished during the 2009 refurbishment. The selling dealer notes that the soft top, frame, and hardware were also replaced, and the car has fender-mounted side mirrors, chrome bumpers with overriders, and dual-upswept exhaust tips.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 165/80 Nexen SB-802 tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The low-back seats and rear bench were re-trimmed in black vinyl during the refurbishment. The center arm rest, dash top, and door panels are upholstered to match and accompanied by black carpets and a dash-mounted mirror.

A banjo-style steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 5 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The 2.9-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU HS6 carburetors, and a Maradyne Texas Twister radiator fan has been installed along with a spin-on oil filter.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate indicates that the car was dispatched in November 1959 to the US, and lists the serial numbers, colors, and equipment.
