This 1973 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transmission, and the factory mechanical fuel-injection system has been fitted with revised air filters. The car is finished in green over a black interior that was reupholstered within the last decade, and equipment includes a replacement black canvas convertible top, power-assisted disc brakes, 14″ Campagnolo Daytona wheels, and a Alpine stereo. The seller purchased the car in 2015 and has since added approximately 2k of the 60k miles shown. This S2 Spider is now offered with records and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in green, and exterior equipment includes a replacement black canvas top, a driver-side mirror, bright trim, and a central exhaust outlet.
The 14″ Campagnolo Daytona wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension, a live rear axle, and anti-roll bars. Braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The cabin has been refurbished over the last decade. The floorboards were removed and replaced to address corrosion, and the seat upholstery, carpeting, and door panels have also been changed. Amenities include a Alpine stereo, a dashboard-mounted gearshift lever, and an integrated center console. A crack in the dashboard is shown in the gallery below, and the sale includes a carpeted dash mat.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts twin Jaeger instrumentation pods housing an 8k-rpm tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer as well as centrally mounted gauges indicating fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.0-liter inline-four was factory equipped with SPICA mechanical fuel injection, and the system features aftermarket air filters. The battery was replaced in December 2018, and the water pump and engine belt were replaced in March 2013.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
The chassis plate is shown above, and the VIN listed on the California title incorporates the prefix AR3041302.
