This 2005 Chevrolet SSR was acquired by the seller on BaT in October 2022, and it is powered by a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The vehicle is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt and equipped with a power-retractable hardtop, chrome staggered-diameter wheels, integrated running boards, and a hardshell tonneau cover over the carpeted bed floor. The cabin is outfitted with heated power-adjustable seats trimmed in Ebony leather along with air conditioning, cruise control, and the Preferred Equipment Group, which added a Bose sound system, a six-disc CD changer, and auto-dimming rearview and driver-side mirrors. This SSR has 61k miles and is offered at no reserve with the owner’s manuals and a clean Louisiana title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt (41U) with red pinstriping and features a power-operated retractable hardtop, integrated fog lights, tinted windows, and satin chrome door handles and running boards as well as a removable hard tonneau cover, heated power-adjustable mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The truck was optioned with a carpeted bed floor with metal runners. A damage report that affected the left-front part of the vehicle is noted in an April 2015 entry on the Carfax report.
Chrome-finished 19″ and 20″ wheels wear bowtie-logo center caps and are mounted with Yokohama Avid Ascend GT front and Toyo Proxes S/T rear tires, and close-up photos of the condition of the wheels are provided in the gallery. Stopping is provided by four-wheel antilock disc brakes, and the truck rides on sport-tuned dampers and stabilizer bars.
The heated and power-adjustable seats are trimmed in Ebony leather, and color-matched upholstery covers the upper doors, rear bulkhead, and center armrest. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, and an SSR-branded dash pad, sun visors, and floor mats as well as a wind deflector and a CD stereo linked with an optional in-dash CD changer and Bose speakers.
An aftermarket serialized plaque mounted on the waterfall denotes this example as one of 1,741 produced in Smokin’ Asphalt for the model year.
The multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Auxiliary readouts for voltage, torque, and outside temperature are located ahead of the center console. The tachometer does not work. The digital odometer indicates 61k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 was factory rated at 390 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. The battery and starter were replaced under current ownership, according to the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report lists the aforementioned damage report in April 2015.
