This 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado convertible was sold new at Novak Cadillac in Omaha, Nebraska, and is finished in Greenbrier Firemist over White Sierra Grain leather, colors that reportedly matched the school colors of the original owner’s college alma mater. Said to have been primarily used as a college parade vehicle, the car shows 6k miles and is powered by a 500ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. A white convertible top with a heated rear window and power-adjustable Dual Comfort front seats headline the list of installed features, which includes 15″ steel wheels with black wheel covers, four-wheel disc brakes, Twilight Sentinel, and an AM/FM stereo with an eight-track player as well as a tilting and telescoping steering column, power windows, and automatic climate control. Acquired by the seller in 2023, this Eldorado convertible is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, original purchase documents, an owner’s manual, and a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
Greenbrier Firemist (93) was a $146 paint option, and the power-operated white convertible top of this example was optioned with a heated rear window. The seller believes the paint is original to the car. Other exterior details include a hard body-color convertible top boot cover, white pinstriping, door edge guards, and a power antenna along with a remote-controlled passenger side mirror, chrome bumpers, GuideMatic headlight control, and Twilight Sentinel.
Steel 15″ steel wheels wear black covers and 235/75 Hankook Optimo H724 narrow-whitewall tires showing 2012 date codes. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. The Eldorado featured a torsion bar front suspension and a coil-sprung solid rear axle along with Automatic Level Control and power steering, a line for which was replaced in December 2023 according to the seller.
The cabin features power-adjustable Dual Comfort front seats trimmed in White Sierra Grain leather while woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, doors, and side panels. An AM/FM stereo with an eight-track player, a power trunk-lid release, carpeted floor mats with Cadillac crests, illuminated vanity mirrors, a theft deterrent system, and intermittent windshield wipers were all optioned when new, and additional amenities include automatic climate control, lap belts, and power locks and windows. Cruise control does not work.
The tilting and telescoping three-spoke steering wheel features a woodgrain inlay and sits ahead of a horizontal 100-mph speedometer, a fuel level gauge, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added under current ownership.
The 500ci V8 features a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was carried out in December 2023.
Power is routed to the front wheels via a Turbo Hydra-Matic three-speed automatic transmission.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Novak Cadillac of Omaha, Nebraska, along with factory equipment, selected options, and a total price of $12,806. An owner’s manual and an assortment of original purchase documents will also accompany the car.
