This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is a running project that was acquired by the seller’s father in 1978 and remained off the road for approximately eight years before ownership was transferred to the seller in 2024. Power is provided by a 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in silver and black over a black interior. Equipment includes a Positraction limited-slip differential, a black convertible top, a removable hardtop, 15″ wheels, and an AM/FM stereo. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale, and the four-wheel disc brakes, pop-up headlights, and air conditioning do not work. This C3 Corvette project is now offered at no reserve with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in its current combination of silver and black circa 1980, and features include a black soft top, a removable hardtop, and a luggage rack. An accident prior to family ownership is noted, and the pop-up headlights do not work. Wear is depicted in the gallery below, and noted flaws included blemishes on the right front fender, in front of the left door, and on the left rear wheel arch.
Five-hole 15″ wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle ST tires. The four-wheel disc brakes and parking brake do not work.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl. The AM/FM stereo is linked to aftermarket speakers located behind the seats. Wear on the center console and upholstery is shown in the gallery, and the air conditioning does not work.
The aftermarket woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and an inoperative tachometer. A clock, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 84k miles.
The 350ci V8 was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the engine was not started for about eight years before the battery was replaced in preparation for the sale. A fluid leak is noted.
The engine block stamping is shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. Corrosion on underside components is shown in the gallery below.
The VIN on the car is shown above. The sequence 194671S101670 is listed as the VIN on the current Florida title.
