This 1963 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible was owned by the War Eagles Air Museum in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, from 1999 through late 2023, when it was acquired by the seller’s father. The car has been repainted in orange and has a power-operated white top over white leather upholstery. Powered by a 390ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car is equipped with power steering, power-assisted brakes, wheel covers, whitewall tires, a tow ball, power windows, air conditioning, tilt steering, and an AM/FM radio. This Biarritz is now offered by the seller on behalf of his father with extra tires and a clean New Mexico title.
Cadillac built 1,825 examples of the Series 62–based Eldorado Biarritz for 1963, all convertibles. This car has been repainted in metallic orange, and exterior details include a power-operated white convertible top, chrome bumpers and trim, quad headlights, cornering lights, a driver-side mirror, rear-wheel spats, a tow ball, and tail fins with integrated taillights. The seller notes nicks in the paint, that the rear window in the soft top is missing its zipper handle, and that there is a dent measuring approximately 1″ in the passenger-side chrome trim near the front of the vehicle.
Steel 15″ wheels feature turbine-style covers with Cadillac-crest centers and are mounted with Coker whitewall tires. Power steering was standard equipment, and braking is provided by power-assisted drums.
The cabin houses bench seating upholstered in white leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Interior equipment includes a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, cruise control, an AM/FM radio, air conditioning, automatic-dimming headlamps, front lap belts, and a clock. The seller states that the seat foam feels stiff.
The two-spoke steering wheel is attached to a tilting column and fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 92k miles, approximately 20 of which were added under current ownership.
The 390ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 325 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Corrosion is noted on underbody components.
