This 1954 Ford Crestline Sunliner convertible is finished in red with a tan soft top over a red and white interior, and power comes from a 239ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes an Edelbrock Performer four-barrel carburetor, a dual-exit exhaust, dual spotlights, a Continental kit, a heater, and a CD player. Acquired by the Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation in 2018, this Crestline Sunliner is now offered at no reserve with a California title.

The Crestline was Ford’s top trim level from 1952 to 1954 and was offered with inline-six and V8 options across several body styles, including the Sunliner convertible. This example was delivered from the factory in Sandstone White and underwent a color change to red under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, a driver-side mirror, dual spotlights, a tan soft top and top boot, fender skirts, and Crestline quarter panel badges.

Body-color steel wheels wear chrome covers and are mounted with 6.70–15 Goodyear whitewall bias-ply tires. A Continental kit is mounted out back, and a matching spare wheel and tire are stowed in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners.

The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in red and white vinyl along with color-coordinated door panels. Red carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes engine-turned dash trim, a heater, Ford-branded front floor mats, and a Pioneer CD player mounted in a locking glovebox.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome semi-circular horn ring, and it frames a 110-mph speedometer as well as gauges for fuel level and engine temperature. A pair of Sunpro auxiliary gauges are mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 239ci V8 features red Ford-branded valve covers as well as an Edelbrock Performer four-barrel carburetor. An oil change was performed in March 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. A dual exhaust system was installed under previous ownership. A transmission leak and corrosion on underbody components are noted.
