This 1967 Ford Mustang convertible was purchased by the seller’s father in 1991, and it was subsequently refinished in red over a re-trimmed Saddle vinyl interior. Power is provided by a 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the tan convertible top was reportedly replaced in 2016. Additional features include a center console, an AM radio, front bucket seats, 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels, power steering, and a dual exhaust system. This Mustang convertible is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of their father with a clean Pennsylvania title in the owner’s name.
The car was refinished in Candy Apple Red in the early 1990s, and a replacement tan soft top with a folding glass rear window was installed in 2016 according to the seller. Scratches, touched-up paint chips, and other blemishes are pictured in the gallery below.
The 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels are mounted with 215/65 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by drums at each corner.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in Saddle vinyl under current ownership, and appointments include an AM radio, a center console, and a cabin heater. The radio knobs are missing.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 600 of which were added under current ownership.
The 289ci C-code V8 was factory rated at 200 horsepower and topped with a two-barrel carburetor. The seller states the top end was rebuilt under prior ownership circa 1990, and that the fuel pump, carburetor, and air cleaner were replaced recently.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
