This 1974 Jensen-Healey Mk II roadster was purchased by the seller in 1998, and it is powered by a replacement 2.0-liter slant-four linked with a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in Buttercup Yellow over black vinyl upholstery, the car has a removable hardtop, a luggage rack, 13″ alloy wheels, front and rear anti-sway bars, replacement rear exhaust components, PerTronix electronic ignition, and an AM/FM cassette stock radio. Now showing 50k miles, this Jensen-Healey is now offered with a Statement of Origin, service bulletins and invoices, a replacement convertible top, a car cover, a hardtop storage stand, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.

The car was finished in Buttercup Yellow at the factory, and exterior details consist of a removable hardtop, a replacement Triplex windshield, chrome-accented bumpers, dual mirrors, and a trunk-mounted luggage rack. A replacement convertible top is included in the sale. The image above and a portion of the photos in the gallery below were taken in 2010 and 2013. Additional photos of the paint condition are provided in  the gallery.

The 13″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 165/70 Westlake Radial PR18 tires that are said to have been installed within the last 100 miles. The lower ball joints and upper wishbone bushings were replaced in 2017, and aftermarket ADDCO front and rear anti-sway bars and Koni shocks have been added, according to the seller.

Black vinyl trims the bucket seats, and woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and center console. Interior appointments include polished door sill plates, a locking glove compartment, and a stock AM/FM radio with an eight-track player. Black tape has been applied to the inner-left seat bolster, and there is a crack in the trim on the glove box door.

A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 50k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The seller states that the replacement 2.0-liter Lotus Type 907 slant-four was installed under previous ownership and that it was sourced from a late 1974-produced Jensen-Healey. PerTronix electronic ignition components were added, according to the seller, and work performed in 2017 consisted of replacing the starter and rear exhaust components. An oil change was performed in September 2023. Fluid seepage is present after the car sits for extended periods.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that the clutch was replaced in 2010, and the transmission was repaired at that time. The differential pinion seal was replaced in 2017.

The Jensen Motors Statement of Origin lists colors, serial numbers, and a 9 May, 1974 date of manufacture.

Handwritten ownership notes, service bulletins, receipts, a parts catalogue, uninstalled spare parts, a car cover, the removed stock rear muffler, and a hardtop storage stand are included in the sale along with the aforementioned convertible top.
