This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was refurbished under prior ownership before being purchased by the owner in 2010. Work included repainting the body in British Green with white stripes, replacing the black convertible top, and re-trimming the interior in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts. Power is provided by a 327ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and the car is equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, an HEI distributor, front disc brakes, and a Hotchkis chassis reinforcement kit as well as a center console, a horseshoe shifter, and an AM/FM radio. This Camaro convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with a car cover, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Oregon title.
The body was refinished in British Green with white stripes during the refurbishment under prior ownership. Details include a black convertible top, a cowl hood, an RS-style grille with hideaway headlights, Rally Sport badging, and front and rear spoilers.
The 15″ Rally wheels are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A Hotchkis Chassis Max reinforcement kit with welded subframe connectors is installed. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with white houndstooth fabric inserts. Interior appointments include a center console, a horseshoe shifter, and an AM/FM radio with an auxiliary audio input cord in the center storage compartment.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock, while auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, battery status, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, approximately about 8k of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 is topped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. It is also equipped with an HEI distributor, chrome valve covers, and full-length exhaust headers feeding into a dual exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
