Purchased by the seller in 2017, this NA Miata is now offered with the owner’s manual, spare keys, a set of M-Edition floor mats, spare parts, an M-Edition gift set, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
All 1996 M-Edition examples were finished in Starlight Blue Mica, and exterior details include a tan convertible soft top, a body-color removable hardtop, pop-up headlights, chrome door handles, painted mirror caps, a power antenna, M-Edition badges, and a single exhaust outlet. A paint chip is located on the right side of the hardtop, the left-front fender has two paint chips, the rear bumper cover is scratched, the seller states the remote for the alarm system requires a replacement battery, and the alarm system has been disconnected.
The 15″ Enkei wheels are mounted with Hankook tires. The car is equipped with an independent double wishbone suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels as well as a black upper dashboard and center console. M-Edition-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include a wood Nardi shift knob, a CD stereo, headrest speakers, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows and locks. A replacement airbag sensor was installed in 2018, per the seller.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 29k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1.8-liter DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 133 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The clutch primary and secondary cylinders were reportedly replaced in 2019.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
