This 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible was acquired by the seller’s father in 2003, and refurbishment work has involved replacing the 400ci V8, the three-speed automatic transmission, the quarter panels, the dashpad, and the convertible top. A front disc brake conversion was completed in 2006, and the car is also equipped with 15″ Rally II wheels, a four-barrel carburetor, exhaust headers, electronic ignition, a body-color Endura front bumper, retractable headlight covers, a Ram Air-style hood, and front bucket seats. This GTO was acquired by the seller in 2024 and is now offered at no reserve with a reproduction window sticker, the owner’s manual, partial service records, and a clean Colorado title.

The quarter panels were replaced and the car was refinished in white under current ownership. The power-operated soft top was replaced in 2022 and additional equipment includes a color-keyed Endura front bumper, retractable headlight covers, a Ram Air-style hood, and dual exhaust outlets.

The 15″ Rally II wheels are mounted with Firestone Firehawk tires measuring 215/65 up front and 235/60 out back. A full-size spare is located in the trunk. An SSBC-USA front disc brake conversion kit was installed in 2006.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in teal vinyl, while faux woodgrain trim accents the instrument panel and center console. Amenities include a replacement padded dashboard, a heater and defroster, and front and rear lap belts. The cassette stereo does not work.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer flanked by an analog clock with an inset timer and a combination gauge indicating the fuel level as well as multiple warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership.

The replacement 400ci V8 was installed around 2010 is equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor, exhaust headers, and electronic ignition. The intake manifold was replaced in 2019, the plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, and valve cover breather and gaskets were replaced in 2020, the carburetor was rebuilt and the spark plugs were replaced in 2021, and the water pump was replaced in 2023. Oil and coolant leaks are noted.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that was replaced in 2006 and rebuilt in 2019.
