The SC430 replaced the SC300/400 sport coupes and was only available as a convertible with a body-color power-retractable hardtop. This example is finished in Black Onyx (202) and features HID headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, a rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. A March 2002 Carfax report entry notes that the vehicle was damaged in multiple places and was towed, though no further details are available. Scratches in the paint are evident around the body.

The 18″ dish-style five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 245/40 Pirelli tires. The car is equipped with traction control and four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated front rotors. The 4.3-liter 3UZ-FE V8 features dual overhead camshafts as well as VVT-i variable valve timing. Factory-rated output was 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. In July 2024 the timing belt, water pump, and tension bearings were replaced.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage report.
