This 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet was ordered new through Capitol Import Autos in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in Cyclamen Red Pearl with a brown soft top over Grey Beige partial leather, and it was optioned with a cruise control, an alarm system, and a Hi-Fi speaker system that is linked with a Blaupunkt Heidelberg cassette radio and a Blaupunkt equalizer/amplifier. Power is from a 3.0-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and additional equipment includes 16″ Design 90 alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, dual front airbags, and air conditioning. This 944 S2 Cabriolet shows 53k miles and is now offered by the selling dealer with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, a compressor, the removed CD-2 radio, a clean Carfax report, and Connecticut registration.

The car is finished in Cyclamen Red Pearl (LZ3T), a color that was available for the 944 during the 1991 and 1992 model years. It features a brown convertible soft top, pop-up headlights, and fog lights.

The 16″ Design 90 alloy wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted ventilated discs with ABS.

The cabin features seats upholstered in Gray Beige leather along with a color-coordinated center console and door panels. Amenities include dual front airbags, cruise control, and air conditioning. The car was optioned with a Hi-Fi audio system that is paired with a Blaupunkt Heidelberg cassette radio and a Blaupunkt equalizer/amplifier. The removed CD-2 radio is included in the sale.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 53k miles.

The water-cooled 3.0-liter M44 inline-four features Bosch engine management and was factory rated at 208 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt and water pump were replaced eight years and 1k miles ago, while the clutch, clutch master cylinder, rear main seal, and engine mounts were replaced in July 2019.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.

Decoding the option sticker reveals the following information:

  • LZ3T – Cyclamen Red Pearl paint
  • 454 – Cruise control
  • 490 – Hi-Fi audio system
  • 494 – Sound system with amplifier
  • 533 – Alarm system
  • 573 – Air conditioning
  • 593 – Anti-lock braking system
  • 946 – Partial leather seats

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Capitol Import Autos in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $51,906.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.

The vehicle does not have a title, as it is located in a state that does not issue titles to vehicles of its age. It is being offered on its Connecticut registration, which lists the Registered Usage as “Antique.”
