This 1929 Ford Model A was modified under prior ownership with the installation of a 4.3-liter GM V6 that is backed by a four-speed 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a 9″ rear end. The steel bodywork is finished in black with red and white pinstriping, and a black soft top covers the cab, which houses a bench seat trimmed in black, a Grant GT steering wheel, a Lokar shifter, and Stewart Warner gauges. The truck rides on 15″ steel wheels and is outfitted with a four-link rear setup, coilovers, and front disc brakes. The current owner’s family acquired the truck in 2010, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale following approximately seven years off the road. This Model A is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean Colorado title in the owner’s name.
The steel bodywork and fenders are finished in black and adorned with red and white pinstriping as well as orange accents. A black soft top is fitted, and the fuel tank is mounted in the cargo bed, which is lined with wood planks and bright hardware.
Red-finished 15″ wheels wear bright hubcaps and are mounted with 195/60 front and 255/70 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Suspension components were reportedly sourced from TCI Engineering and include a four-link rear setup and coilovers. Braking is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
The cabin houses a bench seat equipped with seatbelts and trimmed in black vinyl, which extends to the door panels. A Lokar shifter is fitted.
A Grant GT steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color dashboard that houses Stewart Warner gauges including a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 642 miles. The fuel gauge works intermittently.
The 4.3-liter GM V6 is equipped with an Edelbrock air cleaner assembly, intake manifold, and valve covers as well as a dual exhaust system. The spark plugs are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale along with the carburetor valve needle and seat. The seller notes an oil leak.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a 9″ rear end.
