This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 convertible was refurbished at some point under prior ownership and is powered by a 396ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. Finished in black over black vinyl, the car is equipped with a black soft top, 15″ American Racing wheels, and front disc brakes in addition to a retro-style stereo, front bucket seats, and power steering. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this Chevelle SS 396 is now offered with a clean New Jersey title.

The car left the factory finished in Regal Red and was repainted black at some point under prior ownership. Equipment includes a manually operated black soft top, faux hood vents, quad headlights, chrome bumpers, SS badging, dual side mirrors, electric windshield wipers, quarter vent windows, and bright trim.

American Racing 15″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. The car is equipped with power steering as well as a front and rear coil-spring suspension, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl. Interior appointments include an analog clock ahead of the floor-mounted shifter, manual-crank windows, a heater, and a retro-style stereo.

The woodgrain-rimmed two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary readouts, while a 7k-rpm tachometer is mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.

The 396ci Turbo-Jet V8 was equipped from the factory with a four-barrel carburetor. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential.
