This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is said to have remained registered with the original owner until March 2024 and was later purchased by the seller. The car is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Signal Red over Creme Beige leather upholstery. Features include a limited-slip differential, a replacement black soft top, silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels, fog lights, an Alpine head unit, an alarm system, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This R107 shows 106k miles and is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, seat covers, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red and features a replacement black convertible soft top, quad headlights, fog lights, pinstripes, a power antenna, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. A May 2000 entry in the Carfax report notes that the car was involved in an accident with another motor vehicle that resulted in damage to the right side, and a September 2016 entry notes that the car was involved in another accident with a motor vehicle that resulted in “minor damage” to the left front and right front. The fenders and the right door have been repainted. Clearcoat peel is evident around the body.
The silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels are mounted with 205/65 Cooper Evolution Tour tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Wear is visible on the wheels.
The two bucket seats are upholstered in Creme Beige leather, and interior amenities include an Alpine head unit, an alarm system, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The front seat upholstery, the center console trim, and the dashboard finish are cracked and torn. Seat covers are included in the sale.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 106k miles, approximately 346 of which were added under current ownership. The clock and the trip odometer are inoperable, and the SRS light is illuminated.
The 5.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was carried out in March 2024 and the valve cover gaskets and power steering pump seals are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage reports.
