This 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL500 remained under the care of a single family who drove the car intermittently, adding just under 6k miles over approximately 19 years. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2023, and subsequent work included machining the cylinder heads as well as replacing the head gaskets and the convertible top hydraulic cylinders. The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Charcoal leather and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes the AMG Sport Package, a power-folding hardtop, xenon headlights, 18″ Alphard alloy wheels, heated seats, and a Bose sound system. This R230 is now offered with a window sticker, initial sales documentation, the owner’s manual, service records, a damage-free Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and the AMG Sport Package added revised lower bodywork. Additional features include a power-folding convertible hardtop, xenon headlights, fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and fender air vents. The hydraulic cylinders for the convertible top were replaced in March 2024. The right rocker panel molding cap is missing.

The 18″ Alphard alloy wheels are mounted with three Michelin Pilot Sport tires and a Bridgestone tire. Scratches on the front-left wheel are shown in the gallery. The car features Active Body Control (ABC) suspension as well as an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Automatic Slip Control (ASR). Hoses for the ABC suspension system were replaced in March 2024.

The cabin features heated and power-adjustable seats that are upholstered in Charcoal leather, while wood trim accents the center stack and door panels. Amenities include seat position memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wind deflector, cruise control, a Bose sound system, a remote six-disc CD changer, and COMAND with navigation. The LCD screens are damaged, the seat and trunk release controls on the driver’s door panel are loose, and the trunk floor panel insert is missing.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. A mileage reading taken from the ECU indicates that the car has 6k miles. The Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in a January 2024 entry, though the report indicates this may be the result of a clerical error. The fuel level and oil level gauges do not work.

The 5.0-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. The cylinder heads were machined and the head gaskets were replaced along with the alternator and both batteries in July 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to SJ Glauser Inc. in Sarasota, Florida, along with factory colors, standard features, optional equipment, and a total retail price of $95,730.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage and shows the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.

The current Florida title lists actual mileage as 57k miles.
