1979 MG MGB Roadster

This 1979 MGB Roadster is finished in Brooklands Green with gold stripes over black vinyl and is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black soft top, Pertronix electronic ignition, front disc brakes, 14″ Rostyle steel wheels, a luggage rack, a cabin heater, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a CD stereo. Acquired by the seller in 2024, this MGB is now offered with a car cover, a tool kit, a top boot, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished circa 2015 in Brooklands Green with gold side stripes and black-painted bumpers. Additional exterior details include a replacement black soft top, a modern-style antenna, door-mounted side mirrors, and a trunk-mounted luggage rack. A black vinyl top boot accompanies the car.

The refinished Rostyle 14″ steel wheels wear bright trim rings and are mounted with Mastercraft A/S IV tires. A covered spare wheel and tire are housed in the trunk. The factory suspension features a raised ride height, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The bucket seats were retrimmed under previous ownership in black vinyl that extends to the door panels. Appointments include a cabin heater, a center console, polished sill plates, and a Jensen CD stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.8-liter inline-four features a single Stromberg carburetor and Pertronix electronic ignition. A battery cut-off switch is located behind the passenger seat.
