This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was acquired new by the current owner’s father in December 1966 from Gene Hamilton Chevrolet in Warren, Michigan. The car underwent an interior re-trim in red leather and was subsequently repainted in its factory silver finish in 1998. Power is provided by a 327ci V8 fitted with a single Holley four-barrel carburetor, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission linked with a Positraction differential. Further equipment includes 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, and power steering along with a Delco AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and a white convertible soft top. Now showing 54k miles, this C2 convertible is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Protect-O-Plate, an owner’s manual, a 1966 sales invoice, and a clean Michigan title in the owner’s name.
The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Silver Pearl and was repainted in 1998. The car wears a white convertible soft top, and further details include a driver-side mirror, retractable headlights, fender vents, and split bumperettes. The seller notes various paint chips around the body.
The 15″ Rally wheels wear bright trim rings and center caps and are mounted with Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires measuring 205/70. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The seller notes that the bucket seats were reupholstered in red leather sometime in the 1970s, and are accompanied by a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpets. The seats feature headrests and are paired with lap belts. Further details include a vertically oriented Delco AM/FM radio, a dash-mounted analog clock, and a cabin heater.
The split-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline along with a 160-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, all of which have been added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 is equipped with a single Holley four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.
