This 1982 Fiat Spider Turbo spent time in Florida before it was imported to Canada under previous ownership, and it was acquired by the seller in 2005. Finished in Nero over beige vinyl, the car is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It is also equipped with a replacement black soft top, 1973 124 Spider-specification bumpers, 15″ Rota wheels, a heater, replacement front three-point seat belts, and a Sony CD stereo. The car has reportedly been fitted with a rebuilt turbocharger, aftermarket fuel switches, and cross-drilled brake rotors under current ownership. This Spider Turbo is offered in Canada with a period brochure, factory literature, removed components and wheels, and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Nero (601) with contrasting Turbo graphics, and the seller notes that the upper graphics were replaced along with the repainted lower rear valance panels. Additional work included fitting a replacement black canvas top, powder-coating the 1973 124 Spider-specification bumpers in black, and replacing the windshield. Noted flaws include chips on the hood, dings and scratches on various panels, and blemishes near the headlights. Photos at the end of the gallery were taken in 2021.

Eight-spoke 15″ Rota wheels are mounted with 205/50 Falken Azenis RT-615K tires. Stopping power is handled by disc brakes at all four corners. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension with a sway bar and coil springs as well as worm-and-roller gear steering. Work under current ownership is said to have included replacing the brake proportioning valve, brake master cylinder, brake booster, and front dampers as well as installing braided stainless-steel brake lines and cross-drilled front brake rotors.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are trimmed in beige vinyl. Appointments include a heater, replacement front three-point seat belts, and a Sony CD stereo. An aftermarket ignition switch was fitted under current ownership, and replacement black vinyl was affixed to the center console. The seller notes that the seat belt warning is inoperative.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a Veglia Borletti 220-km/h speedometer, a matching tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, turbocharger boost pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 87k kilometers (~54k miles), approximately 17k of which were added by the seller.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four has reportedly been fitted with a rebuilt turbocharger and aftermarket fuel switches. According to the seller, additional maintenance since 2005 included re-coring the radiator, installing silicone vacuum hoses, an ANSA exhaust system, and a K&N open-element air intake, and replacing the following components:

  • Alternator
  • Cold start valve
  • Fuel tank
  • Fuel pump
  • Fuel pressure regulator
  • Fuel injectors
  • Auxiliary air valve
  • Engine mounts
  • Water pump
  • Thermostat
  • Radiator fan
  • Timing belt

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, the clutch was replaced and the transmission and differential fluids were changed under current ownership.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida and Ontario, Canada, from its initial entry in April 2005.

The car does not have a title and is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.
