This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette underwent a body-off refurbishment completed in 2013 and is powered by a replacement fuel-injected 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is refinished in silver over red vinyl and equipped with a Positraction limited-slip differential, a black convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, 15″ steel wheels, lap belts, a heater, an AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The seller purchased the car in 2020 and subsequent maintenance is said to have included a rebuild of the transmission and the replacement of the clutch assembly, intake manifold gasket, tachometer cable, and starter. This C1 is now offered with NCRS Top Flight Awards, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in silver with white coves during the aforementioned body-off refurbishment. Exterior equipment includes a black convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. The right front fender was reportedly damaged and repaired under previous ownership. There is a scratch on the hardtop.
The 15″ steel wheels feature spinner-style covers and are wrapped in 6.70-15 BFGoodrich Silvertown bias ply tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs.
The cabin was refurbished in 2012 and features two bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl along with a color-coordinated dash pad, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include lap belts, a heater, an AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The ignition and turn signal switches are said to have been replaced in January 2021.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 120 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 283ci V8 was installed around 2012 and the fuel injection system is noted to have been rebuilt in May 2023. The seller states that additional maintenance since 2022 has included a tune-up and the replacement of the intake manifold gasket, tachometer cable, and starter.
