This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 327ci V8 mated with a four-speed close-ratio manual transmission and is finished in red over black leather upholstery. Features include a body-colored removable hardtop, a convertible top, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ cast aluminum wheels, pop-up headlamps, split chrome bumperettes, a dual exhaust system, and a push-button AM/FM Radio. The car won an NCRS Second Flight award in 2021 and was acquired by the seller in 2024. Previously listed on BaT in January 2023, this C2 convertible is offered with manufacturer’s literature, an NCRS award, a Shipping Data report, judging sheets, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The fiberglass body is finished in red, and exterior equipment includes a body-colored removable hardtop, a convertible top, pop-up headlamps, split chrome bumperettes, fender vents, and dual-outlet exhaust that exits through the rear valance.
The 15″ cast aluminum wheels feature knock-off hubs and are mounted with 205/75 Firestone gold-line tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather joined by color-coordinated carpeting, door panels, and trim. Interior elements include a heater and defroster, a reverse lock-out shifter, lap belts, carpeted floormats, and a Delco push-button AM/FM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 was factory rated at 365 horsepower and features a four-barrel carburetor, Corvette script valve covers, and a polished ignition cover and air cleaner assembly. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The engine stamping is shown above. The HL suffix corresponds with a 365-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with a manual transmission.
