This 1955 Ford Thunderbird was acquired by the late owner around 1980 and subsequently refurbished in yellow over a black and yellow interior. A GM 350ci V8 and 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission were installed in 1997. Equipment includes a yellow removable hardtop, a black soft top, tilt steering, air conditioning, latch-and-link seat belts, 15″ Cragar Star Wire wheels, Magnaflow mufflers, chrome bumpers, and parking lights. This Thunderbird is now offered by the seller on behalf of the late owner’s estate at no reserve with partial service records and a clean Texas title.

The car is refinished in yellow and equipped with a yellow removable hardtop, a replacement black soft top, a “checkered flags” hood emblem, chrome bumpers, solid front fenders, auxiliary parking lights, a fixed antenna, receiver hitch, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumperettes.

The 15″ Cragar Star Wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Milestar Touring SLE tires showing 2019 date codes. Stopping power is supplied by front discs and rear drums.

The bench seat is reupholstered in black and yellow and is accompanied by a black dashboard and yellow door panels. Amenities include a floor-mounted shifter, latch-and-link seatbelts, a Kenwood cassette stereo, and a Vintage Air air conditioner.

The aftermarket steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and is mounted to a tilting column. It frames an Astra Dial instrument cluster housing a sweeping 150-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

A General Motors 350ci V8 was installed in October 1997, and it is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, a Cooling Components electric fan, and finned-aluminum valve covers with the Thunderbird logo. The fuel filter, fuel hose, cooler hose, and an alternator lead were replaced in December 2023.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a replacement GM 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. A dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers is fitted.
