This 1979 MGB Roadster is a Limited Edition car that spent time in California through the current owner’s acquisition in 2018 from the reported original owner. It is finished in black with silver side stripes over black vinyl and is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, front disc brakes, 14″ alloy wheels, a luggage rack, black rubber bumpers, a cabin heater, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a Kenwood CD stereo. Work under current ownership consisted of overhauling the brake system and rebuilding the engine. This MGB is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a tonneau cover and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in black with silver MGB-branded side stripes. Additional equipment includes a black soft top and boot, a front chin spoiler, door-mounted side mirrors, a trunk-mounted luggage rack, and black rubber bumpers. Close-up photos presented in the gallery show dings in the bodywork.

GKN 14″ alloy wheels are mounted with Kumho Sense tires manufactured in 2014. A spare wheel and tire are located in the trunk. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and teh front brake hoses, calipers, pads and rotors were replaced in 2019.

The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl that extends to the door panels. Appointments include a cabin heater, a center console, a wood shift knob, a dash plaque, and a Kenwood CD stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, approximately 11k of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.8-liter inline-four was rebuilt in November 2022 and features a single Stromberg carburetor and Crane Cams XR700 electronic ignition. The air pump requires replacement and the air pump belt is not installed.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
