This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and was subsequently restored over two years. Work consisted of stripping and refinishing the body and chassis, overhauling the chassis, re-trimming the interior, and rebuilding the gauge cluster, carburetor, distributor, 327ci L79 V8, four-speed manual transmission, and Positraction differential. The car is finished in Tuxedo Black over black leather upholstery and equipment includes a white convertible soft top, 15″ Rally wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a cabin heater, an AM/FM radio, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights. This C2 is now offered by the selling dealer with a partial tank sticker, refurbishment invoices, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The fiberglass body was stripped and refinished in Tuxedo Black by the selling dealer. Details include a white convertible soft top, a domed hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust finishers. Images of the refinishing process are displayed in the gallery.

The 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with Goodyear Custom Super Cushion whitewall tires. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The chassis and suspension were overhauled under current ownership and other services are itemized in the records shown in the gallery below.

The twin bucket seats were re-trimmed in black leather upholstery by the selling dealer and sound deadening was applied below the replacement carpets. Additional work consisted of refurbishing the heater box and replacing the heater core, bright interior trim components, and wiring harnesses. Amenities include a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a rebuilt gauge cluster housing a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer.

The 327ci L79 V8 was rebuilt during the refurbishment and was factory rated at 350 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. Work consisted of disassembling the engine, hot tanking and overboring the engine block, and fitting oversized pistons. Equipment includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Corvette-branded finned valve covers, a DeWitts reproduction radiator, and a chrome air intake.

The engine stamping is shown above, and the HT suffix is consistent with a 350-horsepower carbureted 327ci V8 for use with manual transmissions. Additional powertrain stamps and casting numbers are displayed in the gallery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The rear end and transmission were rebuilt during the refurbishment and details are itemized in the records shown in the gallery below.

Refurbishment records totaling over $100k are displayed in the gallery along with corresponding refurbishment images, and a partial tank tag will accompany the vehicle.

Decoding the trim tag reveals:

  • H28 – March 28, production
  • Style 67 467 – 1967 Corvette convertible
  • Body A-2532 – Body number
  • Trim STD – Black vinyl upholstery
  • Paint 900 – Tuxedo Black
