This 1988 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was purchased new by the seller’s father and inherited by the seller in May 2013. The car is powered by a 5.7-liter L98 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in Dark Red Metallic over Saddle leather. It is equipped with a limited-slip differential, a beige convertible soft top, 17″ aluminum wheels, power-adjustable seats, a Kenwood head unit, automatic climate control, and pop-up headlights. This C4 convertible shows 36k miles, and it is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Dark Red Metallic (74) and features a manually operated beige convertible soft top, pop-up headlights, fog lamps, and quad exhaust outlets. A scratch near one of the convertible top latches is shown in detail in the gallery.

The 17″ aluminum wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. The car is equipped with an independent front and five-link rear suspension as well as front and rear stabilizer bars. Stopping power is provided by anti-lock four-wheel disc brakes. The power steering rack is said to have been rebuilt in 2019.

The cabin features power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in Saddle leather along with matching carpets and door panels. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Kenwood head unit, power windows, and an onboard computer.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a digital instrument panel that includes a speedometer, a tachometer, and a fuel-level display as well as numeric readouts for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel economy. The six-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership.

The clamshell hood opens to reveal a 5.7-liter L98 V8 equipped with Tuned Port Injection as well as aluminum cylinder heads for a factory rating of 245 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Doug Nash “4+3” manual transmission featuring push-button overdrive in the top three gears as well as a limited-slip differential. The transmission fluid was replaced in October 2020.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage and lists an initial entry in May 1999.
