This 1998 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is one of 1,163 Indy Pace Car Edition examples produced to commemorate the model’s use as the pace car for the 1998 running of the Indianapolis 500. The car remained under the care of a single owner in Pennsylvania prior to the seller’s March 2023 purchase. It is powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic gearbox and is finished in Medium Purple Pearl Metallic over black and yellow leather. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, yellow-finished 17″ and 18″ five-spoke wheels, a limited-slip differential, Active Handling, power-adjustable sport seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and cruise control. This C5 convertible has 15k miles, and it is now offered in Florida with a clean Carfax report and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The car is finished in Medium Purple Pearl Metallic and features yellow stripes, red accents, and Indy Pace Car decals as well as a black convertible soft top, pop-up headlights, fog lights, a Corvette-branded front plate cover, and quad exhaust outlets.

Yellow-finished five-spoke wheels measure 17″ in diameter up front and 18″ out back and are mounted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.  The car is equipped with Active Handling and traction control. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs.

The cabin features two power-adjustable sport seats trimmed in black and yellow leather, and additional amenities include driver’s seat position memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, a CD stereo, and cruise control.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 15k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was factory rated at 345 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. A battery disconnect switch has been installed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic gearbox and a limited-slip differential.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage.
