This 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is finished in Astral Silver Metallic over black MB-Tex and is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The current owner purchased the car in 2019 and has since added approximately 2k of the 109k miles shown. The chrome-finished 16″ Alamak alloy wheels are mounted with 255/55 Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The rear sway bar bushings and steering stabilizer were replaced in April 2019, and in January 2020 the brake master cylinder was replaced.

The two bucket seats are upholstered in Black MB-Tex (101) and are accompanied by color-coordinated door panels. A Kenwood head unit and aftermarket speakers are installed. The seller notes that the electric windows operate slowly, the right side mirror power-operated adjustment function is inoperable, the cruise control is inoperable, and the air conditioning is in need or repair.

The Nardi steering wheel was installed under previous ownership and frames VDO instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 109k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The removed factory steering wheel is included in the sale.

The 4.5-liter V8 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 180 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque. The vacuum lines were replaced in April 2019 and in May 2021 the spark plugs and wires were replaced. The engine warm-up regulator was adjusted in September 2024.
