This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible was built in San Jose and ordered through the Seattle, Washington sales office. According to the seller, whose father purchased the car in 1986, it was used only in the summer months and otherwise garaged, and it now shows 48k miles. A floor console was added in 1987, and in 1992 a replacement carburetor was sourced for its later-model 200ci inline-six. In August 2024 the front shocks, stabilizer bar links, and filters were changed. The Wimbledon White convertible also has a three-speed automatic transmission, a black convertible soft top, wheel covers, chrome bumpers, and front bucket seats. This Mustang is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of her family with service records and a clean Washington title.

The car is finished in Wimbledon White with a black convertible top and chrome bumpers. Chipped paint on the right door is depicted in the gallery.

It has wheel covers, 14″ narrow-whitewall tires, and drum brakes. The brakes were serviced in 2016, and in 2024 the front shocks and stabilizer bar links were replaced.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl, and the driver’s seat has a split in the squab. A center console was added in 1987, and the car also has an AM radio and Mustang-logo floor mats.

Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles, approximately 11k of which were added under current ownership.

A record notes that a 1968-dated block was installed at some point, and the carburetor was replaced in 1992. In 2024 an oil change was performed and the battery, air filter, and fuel filter were replaced.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C4 three-speed automatic transmission and a rear axle with 2.83:1 gears. The August 2024 record notes there is an oil leak from shifter seal.

Records dating to 1986 document repairs and mileage.

  • Trim 26 – Black vinyl and trim
  • Date 12B – Built February 12th
