This 2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata is one of approximately 2,500 Special Edition examples produced for the model year, and it was specified in Titanium Gray Metallic over saddle brown leather. It was purchased in April 2013 by the seller, who has added approximately 9k of the 63k miles. Power is supplied by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 16″ alloy wheels, Bilstein dampers, a black soft top, a removable hardtop, fog lights, a decklid spoiler, a leather-wrapped Nardi steering wheel, a Bose sound system, a CD/cassette stereo, and air conditioning. This special-edition NB Miata is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, spare parts, a hardtop stand, and a clean Iowa title in the seller’s name.
This example is finished in Titanium Gray Metallic and features a heated glass rear window, fog lights, extended rocker panel trim, a decklid spoiler, a power antenna, mudguards, and painted mirror caps. The Carfax report indicates that a February 2006 accident involving another vehicle resulted in “very minor damage” to the rear. The rear bumper cover has been replaced, dent repair is said to have been performed on the driver-side door, and paintwork is noted on the left side. Close-up photos of holes on the soft top as well as finish imperfections on the body and removable hardtop are included in the gallery.
Silver 16″ alloy wheels show curb marks and are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires, which were fitted in October 2021. The car is equipped with Bilstein dampers and power-assisted steering.
The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in saddle brown leather. Amenities include air conditioning, a Bose sound system, a CD/cassette stereo, cruise control, and power windows. A Grom Audio Bluetooth adapter has been added. Wear is present on the driver’s seat.
The leather-wrapped Nardi steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 63k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1.8-liter DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 142 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt and water pump were reportedly replaced in April 2018, and the battery was replaced in 2023. A leak is noted from the front crankshaft seal.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Corrosion is present on front suspension components.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident.
