This 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet is finished in Carrara White with a Metropol Blue soft top over matching leather upholstery. It is powered by a 3.6-liter M96 flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, and an IMS bearing retrofit was performed in March 2022 along with replacement of the rear main seal, cam plugs, and air oil separator. Acquired by the seller on BaT in March 2022, the car is equipped with 18″ Sport Design wheels, cross-drilled disc brakes, xenon headlights, a deployable rear spoiler, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, a Sony Bluetooth stereo, and a Bose sound system. This 996.2 cabriolet now has 95k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, and a Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Carrara White with a Metropol Blue convertible soft top that is said to have been replaced under prior ownership. Additional exterior elements consist of xenon headlights, a wind deflector, a deployable rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. The headlight lenses are yellowing, there are paint chips on the front end and a crack on the right side of the windshield, and the seller notes dents on the front hood where the hood struts pushed up. Paint meter readings are provided in the gallery below.
The 18″ Sport Design wheels are wrapped in 225/40 Continental ExtremeContact DWS rubber up front and 265/35 ControlContact Sport SRS+ tires out back that were mounted in September 2023. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded calipers fitted over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The front lower control arms were replaced in December 2022 and the brake fluid was flushed in April 2024. The left rear wheel exhibits curb rash.
The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Metropol Blue leather and accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include automatic climate control, a Sony Bluetooth stereo, and a Bose sound system. The cruise control operates intermittently, the climate control screen is failing, the driver seat is worn, the passenger seat height adjuster is inoperative, the visor mirror covers are broken, and the electronics for the lock/unlock functions are missing from one of the key fobs.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is worn and fronts a central 8k-rpm tachometer flanked by a 200-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 95k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.6-liter M96 flat-six was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. An IMS bearing retrofit was performed in March 2022 along with replacement of the rear main seal, cam plugs, and air oil separator. The cylinder 1 ignition coil and spark plug were replaced in May 2023 and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle.
