This 1974 Triumph TR6 was acquired by the seller in 2019 and received subsequent refurbishment work that involved a repaint in dark blue, refreshing the interior, overhauling the suspension, and rebuilding the cylinder head, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, and four-speed manual transmission. The car is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six and equipped with a black soft top and top boot, silver 15″ Konig Rewind wheels, a vintage-look Bluetooth radio, a Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator, and a high-torque starter. This TR6 is offered with a tonneau cover and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Pimento Red (72), the car was stripped and repainted dark blue and the seller notes that the floorboards were replaced and the bumpers were re-chromed during the refurbishment. Exterior details include a replacement black soft top and top boot, a left-side mirror, a plastic air dam, and Union Jack decals. There is a rock chip in the windshield as well as scratches on the side windows, and the windshield wipers operate intermittently.
Silver 15″ Konig Rewind wheels are mounted with 205/65 Primewell PS830 tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. Reported work during the refurbishment included rebuilding the brake master cylinder and replacing the lines as well as overhauling the suspension with polyurethane bushings.
The bucket seats were reupholstered in black leather with blue piping and wool carpets were installed during the refurbishment. Appointments include a locking glovebox, a heater, and a vintage-look Bluetooth radio with USB input. The seller notes that the courtesy lamp operates intermittently.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage are positioned in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.5-liter inline-six is equipped with a Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator and a high-torque starter and was factory rated at 101 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the cylinder head, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, and distributor were rebuilt and the wiring harness was replaced as part of the refurbishment.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was reportedly rebuilt under current ownership. The seller notes that the flywheel was resurfaced, the clutch and exhaust system were replaced, and POR-15 coating was applied to the frame.
