This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired by the current owner in 2018 and subsequently modified and refurbished by D&P Classic Chevy in Georgia. Work included installing a 6.2-liter LS3 crate V8 and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, and the exterior was refinished in Fawn Beige paint with a white soft top. The car rides on front coilovers and rear Bilstein shocks along with 15″ steel wheels mounted over four-wheel disc brakes, and further equipment includes a limited-slip differential, power steering, stainless-steel headers, and an aluminum radiator. The cabin is trimmed in Fawn vinyl upholstery and features a retro-look Bluetooth stereo, Vintage Air climate control, and Dakota Digital instrumentation. This modified C1 Corvette is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a reproduction window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, and a California title in the current owner’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Fawn Beige (901) and was repainted during the refurbishment in 2018. Details include color-matched coves, a white soft top, split chrome bumpers, and quad headlights and taillights.
The 15″ steel wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and are mounted with Coker American Classic white-stripe tires measuring 205/75. The car rides on a modified suspension with front coilovers rear Bilstein shocks, and tubular control arms. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs, and the car is equipped with an R&P power steering system.
The bucket seats are upholstered in Fawn vinyl and joined by color-coordinated carpets and door panels. Appointments include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, Vintage Air climate control, and a retro-look Bluetooth stereo. The electric system was overhauled during the refurbishment.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a suite of Dakota Digital gauges including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 1,800 miles, which is said to represent the mileage added since the completion of the build. Total mileage is unknown.
The 6.2-liter LS3 crate V8 was installed in 2018 by D&P Classic Chevy of Westminster, California, and it is equipped with Corvette-script fuel rail covers, an aluminum radiator, and an electric fan. Stainless-steel headers flow to a dual exhaust system with polished finishers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt rear end with a limited-slip differential and 3.42:1 gears.
Build invoices totaling over $88k are displayed in the gallery along with a reproduction window sticker. An owner’s manual and component instructions are included in the sale.
The current California title is listed as a duplicate.
